ISWS, NAKC, UKC BIMBS Grand and Top Ten Champion Talisman of Beaux-Arts
Blaze is our beloved show champion. He is the winner of Sweepstakes, multiple Silken Specialties and multiple Rare-Breed BIS's. He recently won his first UKC BIS on his way to the championship title. He earned his UKC Grand Championship with enough Breed wins to keep himself in the Top Ten two years running. We are proud of his accomplishments. Meanwhile he knows a bit of the obedience routines that if he practiced a little he might do well at that too.
Blaze is an MDR1 Carrier
*Has unfortunately sired no litters
Bred by Joyce Chin of Talisman Silken Windhounds and
now retired with my friends Jhon and Doreen Carlstad
Shown winning one of two back to back Specialty BooFest wins in October 2009. Licensed AKC judge Diane McCormack did us the honor with Audrey Hsia on the lead for us. The second show was officiated by noted sighthound specialist Betty Stites to repeat Blaze's win over a total entry of 60 twice in one day.
Blaze is now living with my friend Doreen Carlstad in Washington state. Whenever I go back home I stay with her and Blaze still sleeps with me. He is happy there getting more baths and grooming than I would do and he looks marvelous. Here they are together at SilkenFest 2014.
He also won BISS at NWFest that year and a few more Breed wins in Washington UKC shows. keeping him in the UKC Top Ten for the second year in a row. Many thanks to Joyce Chin for sharing this wonderful Talisman dog.He is now looking to retirement and bossing nephew Austin around. Fortunately Austin doesn't really mind.
