The R.P. Turner Auditorium serves as the 91¸£ÀûÉç’s chapel, constructed in 1957–58, and provides studios and practice rooms for music students. With seating for around 2,060 individuals, it serves various needs in the university such as chapel services, theater productions, and commencement activities.
The chapel is named after R.P. Turner, a benefactor and friend of the university. A lobby, restrooms, and more seating were added in 1998. In 2001, a second expansion brought additional seating, eight stained glass windows, and the installation of the N. Q. and Martha M. Cline Pipe Organ.
